How is this version different?
- Seven guesses. The extra try gives you room to test letters without losing the round.
- No daily limit. Finish a word and tap New game for another, as many times as you like.
- No stats. Rounds here are not saved, so there is no streak to lose.
Green means the right letter in the right spot. Yellow means the letter is in the word but in a different spot. Grey means the letter is not in the word at all.
Who is it for?
Players who finish the daily word in the morning and want more. It also suits newer players, since the seventh guess turns a lot of near misses into wins. Teachers use endless rounds for spelling practice in class.
How should you use the extra guess?
- Spend guess two on new letters. With seven tries you can afford two openers that share no letters. The pair below covers ten common letters.
- Test before you commit. When three words fit, use one guess that splits them rather than guessing each in turn.
- Practice for the daily game. Try to win in six even though you have seven. Count how often you need the bonus.
