How do you play?
- Check the theme and the list of words under the grid.
- Tap the first letter of a word, then tap its last letter.
- If the letters between them spell a word on the list, it turns green and is crossed off.
- Find all eight words to finish the puzzle.
Words run across, down or along a forward diagonal. They never run backwards in the daily puzzle, which keeps it relaxed.
Is there a new puzzle every day?
Yes. Every player gets the same grid and theme, and a new one goes live at midnight UTC. Your found words save on this device. Switch to Unlimited for a fresh grid any time.
What are the fastest ways to find words?
- Hunt for rare letters. Look for Q, Z, X, J or K first. A word with one of those is easy to spot.
- Scan for double letters. Pairs like LL, EE or OO stand out in a grid.
- Search row by row. Read each row for the first letter of a word, then check around it.
- Start with the longest words. They cross more of the grid and are easier to see.
Why are word searches good for you?
They train focus and pattern spotting, and they are calm. Many people solve one each morning to slow down with a cup of tea. Themes add a little vocabulary practice too.
