We run a free puzzle site for people who like Waffle style grids. You fix scrambled letters until six (or eight) crossing words are right. We post a new 5×5 grid and a new 7×7 Deluxe grid every day. Every past grid stays in the archive, and Unlimited has 6,000 more.

Who makes the puzzles?

We do. We do not copy puzzles from any other game. Our own software builds each grid from a list of common English words. Then it checks three things before the grid goes live:

• every word is a real word that is fine for all ages;
• the letters can form only one set of words, so there is one answer;
• the grid takes exactly 10 swaps to solve perfectly, or 20 on the 7×7 grid.

Do I need an account?

No. Your progress, stats and streaks save in your own browser. We never see them. Our privacy policy has the details.

Are you linked to the original Waffle?

This is an independent fan site. We make our own puzzles. We are not linked to the maker of the original Waffle game, the New York Times or any other publisher.
